I’ve been lost in Puppyland for eight weeks now. If anyone tells you having a puppy is like having a baby, believe them. If anyone tells you it is a lot of work, take it to the bank. (Two-month-old puppies go potty 12-15 times a day!) It is seriously like having another child. So now I have three children.
But it is getting easier. I am no longer cleaning up potty accidents five times a day. Piper has only had two accidents in the past two weeks!
She is growing way too fast. We keep saying, “Slow down!” At nine weeks Piper weighed 2.1 pounds. In just three weeks she almost doubled her weight to 4.1 pounds. Now at 16 weeks she weighs 5.7 pounds. Can’t believe she has almost tripled in size in just 7 weeks.

Very cute puppy! Our kids would love to get a puppy! Your comment about taking it to the bank reminded me of a comment at Cedarville “taken to the laundry”. Do you remember that?
Renee,
Yes, I remember that long conversation we had about common phrases and how I often mix them up! I don’t remember the laundry comment, but I do remember saying “cold meat” instead of “cold turkey”!!
We had lots of fun!
She is losing her baby-look already, boohoo!
I know! She only looked like a baby for about two more weeks after you left. She grew much faster than I thought she would!
How’s the behavior going?
Behavior is better. Thanks for asking! Our trainer and vet have given us some great tips and techniques to try with her. She is learning that aggressive play is not okay! She is realizing that we are the bosses, not her, and she has shown signs of submission. Now if I can just find a way to keep her out of my Encore Azaleas!!!
